Do I really get unlimited uploads free?
You bet. When we say "Free" we mean "FREE!" This isn't one of those websites that promise free unlimited uploads only for you to discover after you've signed up that it's only unlimited to a limit, and if you want to upload anything more than a couple of measly pictures/videos a month then you have to upgrade to their paid account. So much for free. With us you never have to pay for anything. Free is FREE! Now get on that mouse and upload all those cool travel pictures and videos sitting unloved on your computer.
How do I upload pictures?
To start uploading you need to sign up for an account. It's free and takes less than a minute. Click the "upload" button on your personal profile page, start the java upload utility, select the city/town you want to upload pictures to, drag and drop your pictures in the applet window, click "send" when you're ready to send the photos to the site. Don't forget to add commentaries and tags to your pictures so other users can enjoy them even more.
Does the java upload utility contain spyware, adware or any other malware?
No. Hoploader is a safe and secure java applet authenticated by Thawte Inc. It installs nothing on your computer and only requires that you have java running on your computer, which you most likely do.
Hoploader tells me that my maximum allowed upload has been reached. I thought you said I had unlimited uploads. I can't believe I trusted you. You're just like the others!
No, no, we're not. I swear we're different. You do have unlimited uploads. But there's a 12MB limit for each batch of uploads. This is to prevent a single user from overloading server resources with a gazillion gigaton upload.
I get an error message when I try to upload some photos. Why?
The files probably have the wrong format. We only allow jpegs. Fortunately, you can easily convert your photos to jpegs and upload them.
Why do I have to sign in separately to upload videos?
The video section is in beta test mode and we just haven't completed the single-log-on feature yet, but we're working frantically on it.
I can't open the "Edit" page in my photo albums. Why?
You probably have popup blocking enabled. You need to disable popup blocking. You can always re-enable it after you've done what you need to do on the Edit page.
Can I buy prints of my or someone else's photos?
Sorry. Not yet. But we'll be adding that feature in the future.
